Software Engineer – GCP – Helsingborg/Remote (219689)

Background:

Areas Task Management, Forecasting and Workload Management within People Planning in People Domain has a solution named SAMLA. 

This is a homegrown solution with a lot of business need coming up during the year. 

Therefore, we need a GCP/Software Engineer that can work with development of the solution in both GCP and other technologies.

The scope of the consultant services is to assist IKEA in:

 Design, develop and deliver high quality software and engineering in order to support consumers across Ingka and Inter-IKEA Systems to be more efficient and reach the many people.

Use and promote modern software engineering principles, encouraging utilization of proper tools and increase of automation to enable the specified business outcomes and create a strong digital foundation for IKEAs digital products and business.

Desired knowledge, experience, competence, skills etc:

· Good knowledge of software engineering principles.

· Broad knowledge of software engineering practices using industry standard toolsets.

· Good knowledge of design and architecture concepts (i.e. microservices).

· Broad knowledge of the assigned technology of the area and related Products or services.

· Good knowledge of working in agile/iterative software development teams and with agile development practices.

· Good knowledge of IKEAs corporate identity, core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people.

· Passionate about delivery of high-quality software.

· Motivated by continuously developing and enhancing programming skills and staying at the frontier of modern tools and technologies.

· Energized by working both independently and in cross-functional teams.

· Motivated by working agile and being open to the change.

· Motivated by sharing and living the IKEA culture and values.
