Green Policy

AdvanceTech has and always will take corporate responsibility seriously and because we do so, we have set up our very own GREEN POLICY that will help the local and global community.

We have set targets for our employees to meet. An example target is to "cut use of our printers by 20% over the next year" and also to "reduce waste in the office by 50% over the next 6 months".

AdvanceTech are taking big steps forward in cutting our carbon footprint and doing our little bit in helping improve the global environmental quality for everyone.

What AdvanceTech have done to help the environment inside the office:

We now print on paper from either recycled or sustainable sources.
We recycle the majority of our office paper.
We recycle printer cartridges, old PC’s and mobile phones as well as all the fluorescent light tubes used in our offices.
All the coffee and tea we drink in our offices are Fair-Trade sourced.
Make a donation to the Rainforest Alliance for every placement we make.
We use power saving lighting in our offices.
ALL our staff use public transport or walk to work every morning to reduce emissions.
We recycle all of the food waste that is produced in the office.
ALL electrical devices are powered down when the office closes at the end of the day.
We are supporting local charities that support the environment.

What we are doing to support the environment outside of the

At AdvanceTech we take the relationship we have with the Rainforest Alliance very seriously and for every deal we make we give a donation to the Rainforest Allowance.

We trust our small contribution helps them to carry on doing their great work for the rainforest and its inhabitants for the foreseeable future. The Rainforest Alliance works to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behaviour.

We believe that the best way to keep forests standing is by ensuring that it is profitable for businesses’ and communities to do so in an environmental friendly way.

This means helping farmers, forest managers and tourism businesses realise greater economic benefits by ensuring ecosystems within and around their operations are protected, and that their workers are well trained and enjoy safe conditions, proper sanitation, health care and housing.

Once businesses meet certain environmental and social standards, the Rainforest Alliance will link them up to the global marketplace where demand for sustainable goods and services is on the rise.
