Background
We are currently establishing the inclusive design and digital accessibility centre of expertise.
The purpose is to ensure that all Ingka digital experiences and products meet the needs of diverse customers and co-workers
Currently, there is only 1 FTE in this CoE and we need to hire FTCs to help establish the foundation of the CoE and plan for the implementation of the strategy.
One key stream of work is regarding digital accessibility. We need an expert on this topic who is strategic, tactical, and operational.
This person will need to establish the foundation of policies, governance, frameworks, and ways of working for digital accessibility. And help us procure the right tools and vendors to ensure we monitor and address digital accessibility
The scope of the consultant services is to assist IKEA
· Accountable to direct and manage the establishment of Ingka Group framework, guidelines, governance, and ways of working to ensure that legal digital accessibility standards are continuously met
· Lead and assess the need of automated digital accessibility tools and the procurement and implementation of these tools to ensure legal compliance
· Provide direction, frameworks, toolkits to designers and product teams to practically embed accessibility and inclusive design to improve user experience, conversion, customer experience, and other business metrics
· Own and define benchmarking practices against industry standards to continuously validate and improve accessibility and inclusive design practices to guide the competence development needs for all designers
· Lead, set and assess outcomes for accessibility and inclusive design efforts

· Extensive knowledge of global accessibility laws, guidelines, and regulations
· Extensive knowledge of various accessibility standards and testing tools
· Extensive knowledge of JAWS, NVDA, iOS VoiceOver, and/or Android Talkback
· Extensive knowledge in leading and producing all aspects of accessibility and inclusive design
· Extensive knowledge in equality, diversity & inclusion theories and best practices
· Extensive knowledge in driving digital accessibility and human-centred design methods and approaches into a cross-functional team
· Extensive knowledge of measuring the business value of design
· Knowledge of changing digital trends in order to understand potential innovative solutions that meet human needs
